Biography
The colors and shapes are inspired by India, its landscapes, its tribal art and the sacred sources of its ancient culture, as evidenced by the inclusion of texts in Sanskrit in her painting.
Originally from Jaipur in India, Sujata Bajaj started painting at the age of five. After studying art in her native country, she continued her training at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, before settling in Norway.
She really began her career in 1978 with a first exhibition of her works in India, then quickly became known on the international scene. She now lives and works between France, Norway and India.

She worked from different media, monotype, etching, wood engraving, sculpture, ceramic, fiberglass, metal before moving on to acrylic on canvas.
